Arrived from Okinawa Saturday, 4/27/2019. Training following week inn Okinawa Traditional Karate, Mon through Thursday evenings.

Tuesday, May 22nd. As we entered our training area at Oak Haven Church, Jason had His projector and comments at the ready. We settled in chairs and He began by telling us about His trip and training in Okinawa. His trip started many months earlier with careful planning and training. He and His ‘Sensei Jose Winkels and other classmates at Keystone charted questions for Him to refer to. As is customary Sensei Isa and others met Him at the airport and His indoctrination to Okinawa began in earnest. It seems like it was very important for Sensei Isa to teach Him about cultural respect for Shuri Te and How the Islanders felt about their elders and their Martial Arts Culture. We are familiar with the names of the Masters of Karate and how it was brought into our Homes, but do not think that training is dormmate or taken for granted. Jason quickly found out how to train to increase His ability to use His Kata to it’s extreme. Flexi

April Rank Advancement Test 4-11-17 at Oak Haven.

County Attorneys' from Washington county and Isanti county met with 14 Members from our Shuri Te Association Enlighentening us about our Responsibilities to both the attacker and ourselves. Retreat if possible, Document everything concerning the incident, go into great detail, be very sp9ecific in your details to protect yourself in court. Be able, in the heat of battle to recognize when to use Reasonable force. The "Castle Doctrine" is interesting, many of us have the wrong idea of what we can or can not do to protect us in our Home. It is difficult to explain all they told us, but if you have questions, please contact someone who was there. Hopefully in March, we will have a Doctor help us with the Medical Implementation of strikes.
